I was once a school bus driver - yeah! I wrote this song to honor all those mothers, fathers, women and men who take on the responsibility of getting our kids to school, sports events, field trips and to those coach drivers who take us across the nation. Their service to our present and future lives is priceless!
Oh….
I’m the bus driver, that’s who I am
I know where and I know when
You get off and on again
By yourself or with a friend
In the rain, sleet, snow or sun;
Don’t matter if you’re old or young
I’ll be there for everyone
I’m the bus driver - I’m the bus driver - I am the bus driver } x2
Oh….
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Anytime you’re going my way
When we’re together its okay
I’ll signal left, I’ll signal right
I’ll flash my yellow warning lights
We'll get there even at night
I’m the bus driver - I’m the bus driver - I am the bus driver } x2
Even if you’re feeling down I will come around
And even if it takes a while, I guarantee
I’ll make you smile
** Instrumental ** Chorus **
Oh….
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Round and round, round and round
The wheels on the bus go round and round
All through the town
The people on the bus go up and down,
Up and down, up and down
The people on the bus go up and down
All through the town
The mommies on the bus say "I love you"
"I love you, I love you"
The mommies on the bus say "I love you"
All through the town
The daddies on the bus say "I love you too"
"I love you too, I love you too"
The daddies on the bus say "I love you too"
All through the town
The wipers on the bus go swish swish swish
Swish swish swish, swish swish swish
The wipers on the bus go swish swish swish
All through the town
The babies on the bus go "Waaaaaah"
"Waaaaaah -- "Waaaaaah"
The babies on the bus go "Waaaaaah"
All through the town
The driver on the bus says, "Move on back!"
"Move on back!, Move on back!"
The driver on the bus says, "Move on back!"
All through the town
I’m the bus driver - I’m the bus driver - I am the bus driver } x4
